Job Description This Safety, Health and Environmental (SH&E) Manager is responsible for maintaining a proactive SH&E culture by providing day-to-day site leadership and is the SH&E site point-of-contact for the manufacturing of BlueTriton Brands products. - with demonstrated results of "buy-in" and influencing employee ownership of safety, environmental and security programs - looking to expand their role for future operational management opportunities within the business - who has the ability to travel on a periodic basis Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: - Assist the Factory Manager in ensuring compliance with federal, provincial (WSIB) and local occupational health & safety (OSH/OSHA/EPA) and other related regulations for the site. - Participates in different occupational health safety/environmental activities and supports all Environmental, Health and Safety programs, initiatives and GMPs. - Acts as change agent and supports management in the achievement of the cultural change with regards to environmental, health and safety objectives in the workplace - Conducts regular routine inspections of the facilities and equipment for compliance with general and specific safety and security standards; reports regulatory non-compliance and/or hazardous conditions, and recommends remedial action as appropriate - Conducts on-site investigations of accidents or incidents involving fire, hazardous materials, unsafe situations, security issues and/or non-compliance issues; prepares reports and makes recommendations for procedural changes as necessary. - Serves as a chemical safety officer for the factory; inspects, evaluates, and oversees the maintenance and disposition of all hazardous materials stored in the factory; monitors usage of hazardous materials and makes recommendations as appropriate - Establishes, monitors and inspects factory fire, safety, and environmental equipment and facilities for serviceability and compliance with established regulations, policies and standards. - Develops and implements on-site safety, environment, and/or emergency management programs designed to respond to individual situations and to improve overall safety conditions in the factory. - Weekly and Monthly analysis of accidents and injuries and compilation of monthly safety reports including the updating of period reports, statistical data and the Health and Safety MCR. - Champions all OHS Management System Audits. - Co-Chairs the Joint Health & Safety Committee and all related initiatives. - Develops and ensures achievement of the environmental, health safety training plan in the work place. - Liaise with WSIB or other external service providers, employees and management team regarding WSIB claims and Early and Safe Return to Work. - Provides coaching and support for the SH&E Leader in our Hope, BC location, and is the single point of contact for SH&E in Canada. **Qualifications**: **Qualifications**: - University degree or equivalent - 5+ years of experience in Health and Safety management - Experience in a beverage, food or other clean manufacturing environment and familiarity with key regulations - Solid understanding of federal, provincial, and local fire, safety, environmental, and health regulations and procedures, as applied to food manufacturing facilities. - Ability to perform on-site safety and environmental inspections. - Strengths in People Management including communication; leadership; effective presentation skills; coaching; crisis management; motivation; team building; organization; self-starter; time management; stress management. - Ability to develop and implement standard operating procedures. - Proven ability to plan and implement change - Proven ability to liaise with and build-effective working relationships with various business partners in forging and managing collaborative strategic relationships and partnerships both internally and with external providers. - Good li
