Position Overview
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive individual to support our operations Manager in a dual role: Administrative Assistant and Health & Safety Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry, strong QuickBooks skills, and hands-on understanding of Health & Safety requirements, especially in relation to maintaining our COR Certification.
This position is key to ensuring smooth office operations while helping uphold our safety standards and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Duties
Provide daily administrative support to the Operations Manager
Data Entry into QuickBooks
General office duties as required
Health & Safety Coordinator Duties
Assist in the maintenance and ongoing compliance of our COR Certification
Update, track, and organize all Health & Safety documentation
Maintain and work with the operations manager regarding Health and Safety
Monitor and record employee training, certifications, - (subcontractors as well)
Assist with audits, internal reviews, and preparation for COR external audits
Help ensure all construction sites remain compliant with safety standards and regulations
Qualifications
Previous administrative experience
Experience in the construction industry (preferred)
QuickBooks proficiency
Experience or strong knowledge in Health & Safety coordination
Familiarity with COR Certification requirements is a strong asset
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information
Clear communication skills (written and verbal)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
