Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily safety audits and jobsite inspections.
  • Document findings and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Participate in weekly D&L safety meetings and all customer-led safety meetings.
  • Assist the Safety Manager with safety training and new hire orientations.
  • Help develop and improve safety materials and training programs.
  • Provide first aid as needed and maintain first aid supplies.

Requirements

  • 35 years of safety experience in a construction environment.
  • OSHA 510 preferred.
  • Degree or certification in Occupational Health & Safety is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform thorough safety audits and inspections.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with safety software is a plus.
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
  • Proactive, dependable, and detail-oriented.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Sit or stand for up to 15 hours per shift.
  • Climb ladders (up to 20 ft) and stairs (up to 120 ft).
  • Lift 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Bend, stoop, climb, or crawl as needed.
  • Wear required PPE (steel-toed boots, hard hat, harness, etc.).
  • Work in dusty/dirty environments and extreme temperatures (0°F120°F).

About the Role

This position reports directly to the Safety Manager and works closely with field and operations teams to ensure a safe, compliant work environment.
