Senior Manager, Safety and Access

In response to the needs of Refugees in various worldwide locations, Global Communities delivers humanitarian and development assistance through both direct implementation and through local partner organizations in the sectors of FSL, Protection, Engineering and WASH.

The Senior Manager, Safety and Access will ensure the safe access to all areas of intervention across the assigned country portfolio, reporting directly to the Country Director. This role will assess safety and security risks, develop and oversee the implementation of security management plans, oversee reporting, information collection, and training.

This position will be based in one of Global Communities international field locations. The job is open continuous, allowing applicants to apply until September 30, 2023.

Responsibilities

• Act as subject matter expert on emergency preparedness planning and incident responses.
• Provide oversight and management for the safety and security of all Global Communities personnel and assets countrywide.
• Develop strategies to continuously improve and refine security management systems.
• Review and update the Security Management Plan quarterly.
• Ensure offices have adequate life safety measures.
• Supervise, update, and test the communication tree.
• Review performance standards and conduct regular evaluations of all local security staff.
• Advise on in-country travel of Global Communities personnel.
• Conduct security risk assessments for new venues, offices, warehouses, and residences.
