Health & Safety Manager

Kingdom Construction Limited specializes in municipal infrastructure construction. Our construction teams consist of project managers, office personnel, project superintendents and supervisory staff, all supporting teams of in-house civil and mechanical disciplines. We are currently looking for a Health & Safety Manager to join our Operations Team at our head office in Ayr, Ontario for long-term permanent employment.

The Health & Safety Manager is responsible for the administrative role of health & safety for all project sites and our head office.

• *Responsibilities**:
• Maintaining COR Certification with yearly audits
• Develops, plans for and oversees implementation of Corporate Environmental, Health and Safety policies and programs in accordance with federal, provincial and local legislation.
• Develops required company or project-specific H&S policies and programs.
• Implement procedures for investigating, reporting, and controlling occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Provide WSIB case management up to and including appeals.
• Evaluate and identify training needs for the company with respect to safety and health.
• Ongoing review of safety policies, procedures and practices including discipline and other enforcement mechanisms.
• *Education and Experience**:
• A minimum of 3 years of experience with a General or Civil Contractor is preferred.
• A diploma or degree in health and safety is an asset
• Proficient in MS Word and other computer systems
• Experience with COR Certification required
