Pay Range: $17.84 to $24.96
Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker’s gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.
Safety Coordinator
Human Resources Safety/Work Comp is looking for a highly motivated, hard-working, adaptable support coworker to join the Workers Compensation/Safety team. The responsibilities associated with this position will offer a variety of clerical, administrative, and support tasks. This candidate must possess the ability to communicate effectively, work unsupervised while producing quality work efficiently, accurately, and handle confidential matters while providing support to our coworkers and management team daily. This candidate must have the ability and comfort level for public speaking to conduct weekly Retail Safety Training. Flexibility with changing priorities on short notice and willingness to learn and promote Kwik Trip’s Safety initiatives is necessary. Efficiency and attention to detail are essential for all tasks in this role. Human Resources experience is preferred.
Job Duties will include
- Reviewing and downloading video for injury investigations.
- Calling coworkers who suffer (first aid/medical only injuries).
- Processing requested documents from and for the Work Comp team, medical providers, and third-party administrator.
- Conducting Safety Training for new Assistant Store Leaders once a week
- Provide support to the Retail Safety Field Team-follow up information from video review.
- Maintain signage inventory for our retail stores as requested, make Safety Binders for new stores and replacement requests, make up Kitchen Safety and Wellness Coordinator binders, processing safety materials requested, and more.
- This position will assist with the Be Safe for Life program
- Conduct audits for work comp/claim classification and status.
Qualifications: Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D. ; 1+ year(s) in an office/administrative role; proven ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality; ability to process, interpret, and communicate (verbal and written) information to coworkers and vendors in a professional manner, accurate and detail oriented; possess strong time management, organizational, and data entry skills; able to work unsupervised and meet deadlines as needed; ability to support and work well in team based atmosphere. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and comfort with computers and office equipment is required.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime hours. Travel may be required on occasion to assist with safety meetings, district meetings, and training (possible overnights).
