- *What we’ll love about you**:
- CRSP, CSO or NCSO, certification preferred (CDN).
- Experience in related industry, with direct experience in HSE
- Highly safety conscious, consistently adhering to established safety processes and policies, and actively promoting a culture of safety within the company.
- Strong management and leadership abilities.
- Conflict resolution skills, with the ability to manage and effectively resolve conflict with clients/government and influence others towards resolution in high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills on HSE topics to management, clients, or other stakeholders.
- *What you’ll work on**:
As the HSE Manager, you will have the opportunity to help create a workplace that is safe, compliant, and conducive to successful growth. You will lead and manage HSE programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulations. Responsibilities include conducting safety audits, managing WSIB claims, participating in JHSC meetings, and developing emergency response plans. The role emphasizes safety training, fostering a safety-oriented culture, and collaborating with departments to integrate HSE into new processes.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and rectify potential hazards, unsafe work practices, and hazardous conditions in the workplace.
- Collaborate with cross functional departments to design and deliver comprehensive HSE training programs for all personnel, including specific training on HSE requirements, and crane and forklift operation.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans, including evaluation procedures and first aid training, to prepare the workforce for unforeseen incidents.
- *Shift**:
We are actively hiring for the day shift, working 44 hours per week.
- Monday to Friday: 7:00am to 4:30pm
