The Senior Health Safety & Environmental Specialist works onsite in Plymouth MN location and reports directly to the Senior Health Safety & Environmental Manager.

HSE Support and Administration (85%)

• Assist in compliance assurance with OSHA requirements.
• Ensure Associates certifications/licenses are up to date.
• Lead risk assessment teams in performing job hazard analyses.
• Facilitate root cause analyses with collaborative teams.
• Investigate incidents including near misses.
• Develop HSE training programs.
• Support workplace safety conditions & practices audits.
• Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
• Develop and provide various HSE training.
• Monitor and support site’s Safety Data Sheet program.
• Provide timely review of Corrective/Preventive Actions.
• Prepare various reports and maintain statistical information.
• Work closely with HSE staff to set up training classes.

Environmental (15%)

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Properly handle store and dispose chemical waste.
• Support and provide environmental awareness and compliance training.
• Work cross functionally to engage employees in the HSE process.

The Experience Skills and Abilities Needed

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years relevant experience or Associate’s degree with 9 years’ experience.
• General awareness understanding and practical experience in supporting HSE programs ISO 14001 and 45001 standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel.
