Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to oversee and enhance workplace safety protocols across our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and reducing workplace incidents. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a safe working environment through proactive safety management and training initiatives.

Duties

  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and prepare detailed report writing to document findings and preventative measures.
  • Coordinate and deliver safety training & development programs for employees on topics such as OSHA standards, occupational health, first aid, CPR, workers' compensation law, and EHS best practices.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims process in compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety activities, incidents, training sessions, and compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with management to develop strategies for continuous improvement of occupational health and safety standards.
  • Stay current with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging hazards related to manufacturing environments.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, and workers' compensation law.
  • Strong knowledge in IATF auditing.
  • Certified in first aid and CPR; experience with occupational health programs is preferred.
  • Proven ability in report writing, root cause analysis, and incident investigation techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective training & development sessions and safety briefings.
  • Experience working within manufacturing settings or industrial environments is highly desirable.
  • Ability to analyze complex safety data and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated leadership in fostering a culture of safety awareness among diverse teams.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects related to EHS initiatives effectively. This Safety Coordinator role is essential for maintaining a compliant, safe, and healthy workplace environment while supporting the company's operational goals through proactive risk management and employee engagement.

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
